When Superman comes home even he can't get some simple undisturbed rest. But that's the best thing about pets, isn't it? It doesn't matter if you were out delivering food or saving the world. To them all that matters is that you're home

Phoenix Comic Con 2017!!!
Attention all Phoenicians and Arizona residents! I'll be returning to your beautiful state this weekend for Phoenix Comic Con with prints, books and general life advice. What made the show a blast for me last year was getting to meet and talk with the people there so I hope to meet many more of you again this year!

"Daddy!!!" A TMNT Tribute
The thing about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that I never see referenced is that Splinter was essentially a single dad raising four rambunctious boys and that could NOT have been easy. So this piece titled "Daddy!!!" is my tribute to the first super heroes I ever became a fan of, to single dads everywhere, and to anyone who's ever burned a pizza in the oven.

Cara Mia - An Addams Family Tribute
Growing up I loved watching the old Addams Family tv show and especially those moments when Gomez would get all passionate with Morticia's arm. So cute and funny!

"Sugar Sugar" - An Archie Comics Tribute
"Sugar Sugar" I created this piece for Gallery 1988's "Archie" show opening this Friday night on Melrose in Los Angeles. This is based on the more modern run by Mark Waid which came out in 2015 - SO GOOD! Plus it was a lot of fun tapping into my old guitar playing days for inspiration as well. Check them out if you want any prints as it's a limited edition run through Gallery1988 only.

"Tina & Louise"
"Tina & Louise" - Been a huge Bob's Burgers fan for years now, but I don't know why I just now got the idea to combine it with the iconic 90s movie "Thelma & Louise" (which I also love). I'm not sure how well known that movie is nowadays, but I'd be really curious to see the overlap between Bob's Burgers fans and people at least familiar with it. Either way at least I finally got the inspiration to do a tribute piece for one of my favorite shows of all time!

"You've Got Me?!? Who's Got You?"
"You've got me? Who's got you?" 'Member when a scene in a Superman movie could be charming and make you smile? I honestly don't know what inspired the motivation behind this other than a few weeks ago I just randomly remembered the scene from the 1978 "Superman" movie where Superman first saves Lois and how much I loved the little bit of humor in it. Not sure how much 'demand' there is for retro Superman art LOL but I had to draw it out more for my own sake than anyone else's. Happy Monday!

"Hey, Little Guy"
"Hey, Little Guy." I don't really know where the specific storytelling inspiration for this came from, but I knew I wanted to capture a quiet moment between pilot and small desert creature in this "Star Wars" themed piece. It was also an opportunity to do a low contrast dusk lighting scenario painting which I've been wanting to do for a while now.

"Good Evening, Miss Lane" - Superman Tribute in the Style of Disney Legend Eyvind Earle
"Good Evening, Miss Lane" - My tribute to the iconic interview scene from the original Superman film inspired by the aesthetic of Disney legend Eyvind Earle. Considering most of Mr. Earle's work is of nature with virtually no architecture, it was definitely a challenge extrapolating his design language from those beautiful landscapes into what could potentially be an animated Metropolis. Up, up and away!

"Bat Boys" - A Tribute to all the Batmen of Film and TV
"Bat Boys" - My Batman themed celebration of all the live action Caped Crusaders from throughout the years - Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, and who can forget Ben "Guns Blazing" Affleck. It's also got a bunch of little nods that any true Batman fan will appreciate like shark repellant spray, Wayne Tower, and even the infamous Bat nipples. Will be available on my online store soon!

"Captain America: Road Trip"
I came home right after I saw "Civil War" and had to make this. I call it "Captain America: Road Trip." Marvel, can you please make a movie where these three guys just drive across the country fighting crime on their way to iconic tourist spots? I need the bromance to continue. I think we all do.

The Boys of Steel Are Back In Town
The boys are back in town! The boys are back in town! This is my tribute to the Supermen of media, to the different yet iconic live action incarnations of Superman throughout the ages. Who’s your favorite? There are even a few little easter eggs for all my fellow diehard Supes fans. Here's to Batman v. Superman! Also I've been super busy (pun intended) getting ready for WonderCon this weekend where this print will debut so I hope those of you going will stop by. Thanks for all the support!
