Remembering the Past: D-Day 1944.

Remembering the past. Today's the anniversary of D-Day, the allied invasion of occupied France during World War II. It was also brought to life in the opening of "Saving Private Ryan." What's so interesting to me about history is that it took place on ground that is now more often than not quiet and peaceful, leaving only those who survived it to ensure that it will be remembered for generations to come.
